My classroom experience spans independent schools on the East and West Coasts as well as public high schools right here in Colorado. I began tutoring back in 1994, drawn to the one-on-one work of helping students who need more than a room of thirty can usually offer — the time, patience, and individualized approach it takes to teach to how someone actually thinks. That informal start eventually became official when I founded this LLC in 2021.
My academic background is a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In the years since, I've worn a lot of hats — classroom teacher, curriculum writer, and education center director — and each of those roles shapes the way I approach a tutoring session today!
